Why This Exists

I'm James Brock. I started Final Expense TV because the lead market is broken — and independent agents are paying the price.

After 20 years running a successful residential appraisal firm, I was looking for a new challenge. I got into insurance telesales and saw the industry from the inside: the redistribution, the misleading ads, the calls where prospects thought they were getting a free government program. I watched good agents burn out on garbage leads, convinced they just weren't cut out for the business.

The problem wasn't the agents. It was the leads.

What I Found

I started analyzing campaigns from the perspective of value — how it's created, preserved, and delivered through the supply chain. I went to trade shows, built integrations, evaluated campaigns, and networked with media buyers and publishers across the industry.

What I found in final expense is that the vast majority of calls come from prospects who think something is free or that they're calling about a government program. The advertising is designed to maximize call volume, not caller intent. It works for the vendors. It doesn't work for agents. I've written about the traps that kill agents buying inbound calls — it's a pattern I saw over and over.

I also found that premium quality calls — the ones from real television and streaming advertising with clear messaging — tend to flow to large buyers who can tolerate a $400+ cost per acquisition. The big carriers and mega call centers get the good stuff. Independent agents get leads built for someone else.

Market forces push quality toward corporations and garbage toward independent agents. I'm here to push back.

What We Do Differently

Final Expense TV sources calls from connected TV, broadcast television, and streaming video advertising — the same high-intent media that large carriers use. We work with media buyers and publishers who prioritize integrity over volume. The ads are clear about what we're offering. The callers know they're inquiring about final expense insurance.

My goal is delivering both quality and reasonable cost to independent agents. This means resisting the market forces that typically reserve premium leads for buyers with deep pockets. It requires sacrifice in profitability. I keep doing it because this market needs it. If you want to see the real math on why this matters, I've laid it all out.

Quality Over Volume

We'd rather deliver fewer calls that convert than flood you with garbage that wastes your time.

Honest Advertising

Our ads are clear about what we're offering. No bait-and-switch, no "free benefits" confusion.

Agent-First Economics

We build campaigns for independent agent economics, not mega-buyer CPAs.

Transparency

We tell you how this industry actually works — even the parts that aren't flattering. Read Flip the Script to see what we mean.

The Bigger Picture

Final Expense TV is part of Live Agent Assistance, which also offers contact center services, consulting, and custom campaign infrastructure for agencies and IMOs.

Beyond leads, I'm building tools to help agents succeed: AI sales coaching software that provides real-time guidance for authentic selling, and retention products to help agents keep the business they write. These are currently in development.

Everything I build serves the same mission: helping independent agents compete. The single parents working from home. The ambitious agency builders. The people who got into this business to help families and build something of their own — but too often end up as customers of the very companies that are supposed to be supporting them.

That's who Final Expense TV is for.
